ID - Terms & Conditions

MEO ID is a way of logging in securely to all MEO websites and applications. To create an ID, the user must provide an e-mail address (e-mail) that acts as a username and a password.

Your ID Credentials (username and password) are your identifying elements at ID and, as such, it is your responsibility to maintain their confidentiality. You shall be fully liable for all activities that occur under your password or account, and for any loss or damage arising from the use of said credentials under conditions that allow their decoding and copying.
MEO – Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, S.A. cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by misuse of your credentials not attributable directly or indirectly to MEO, by way of fraud or gross negligence or arising from your failure to comply with this Section.
If the service is used by third parties with recourse to Registered User login details, with or without User permissions, MEO – Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, S.A. consider that access and operations were made by the Registered User, and is not responsible for the abuse or fraudulent use of Access Data, unless proven otherwise.

MEO – Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, S.A. may suspend or terminate your access to the services and features available on LOGIN, and seek confirmation of any information you provide to MEO.

ID has the appropriate security levels. However, MEO – Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, S.A. is not liable for any losses suffered by the user and / or any third party due to: delays, interruptions, errors or suspensions of communications that originate on factors beyond its control, including any deficiencies or failures caused by communications networks and/or services provided by third parties, your computer system, modems, connection software or any computer virus.

MEO – Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, S.A respects the best practices in the field of security and protection of personal data, and to this end has taken the necessary technical and organizational measures in order to comply with personal data protection legislation and ensure that the processing of personal data is lawful, fair, transparent and limited to authorized purposes.
MEO – Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, S.A is committed to the protection and confidentiality of personal data and has adopted the measures it deems appropriate to ensure the accuracy, integrity and confidentiality of personal data, as well as all other rights of the respective holders.
The processing of personal data consists of an operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, namely collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure, dissemination, comparison, interconnection, restriction, erasure or destruction.

MEO – Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, S.A. reserves the right to change these conditions, and the new conditions shall be considered to have been accepted if you continue to access ID after the change of the relevant conditions.

ID is a service provided indefinitely and MEO – Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, S.A. may terminate it at any time by simply communicating such fact to users.

ID is a registered site upon which MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, S.A. owns all rights. The service is provided by this company, duly incorporated under Portuguese Law, taxpayer No. 504 615 947, with head offices at Av. Fontes Pereira de Melo, n.º 40, 1069-300 Lisbon.
